there are some things you're going to need.
now that we have that out of the way...
akelei 0.7 (prerelease) -- this is the latest version so far.
that's it. it's just one zip file.
if you've used other blogging software, you're probably expecting an npm command or a bunch of dependencies to install.
there's none of that here. just unzip the file and copy it to the web root directory on your server.
make sure the permissions are set correctly on the files you upload. if you're not sure what that means, they're probably right by default. if things aren't editing or saving properly, incorrect permissions are likely the reason.
if you haven't created a user yet or you've locked yourself out, the default user is admin / admin. this user will be automatically created when you start akelei the first time or if you delete the user database completely. you should change the password and/or create another user and delete the default one as soon as you log in the first time. use a secure password. it won't force any password requirements on you but i suggest at least twelve characters of varying types.
